Moreover, this platform is an alternative to ineffective animal models by combining new microfluidic technology, artificial intelligence and most advanced imaging techniques.

Our context today : As deep tech entrepreneurs, we choose the entrepreneurial path instead of the academic one. We are a team of risk-takers and we need to do more with less. We are now at an early stage of development of our company before product-market fit. CubiX, our main product, is on a pre- sales phase.

What do we propose ?

About the internship:

– You will be involved in CubiX (TRL3), currently our most advanced product, which is a microfluidic technology aimed to substitute or reduce animal testing during drug development. You will be interacting with the engineers, programmers and biologists that industrialize and assemble the system.

– Your role will be to integrate and assemble the main system as well as performing software and hardware trouble-shooting characterizations and improvements.

– You will also be involved in updating and improving current mounting guides and to find solutions to facilitate the industrialization processes.

– You will interact with the top management which provides a unique opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship mindset.

 Steps and objectives:

– Understand our CubiX platform and improve the assembling process.

– Understand the stock management process.

– Assemble, configure and test 5 CubiX machines and use the experience to update the current mounting guide.

– Carry out a cost/benefit study following the optimizations proposed.

– Study current hardware controlling software modules and improve their user experience.

– Characterize the main CubiX microfluidic flow controllers and the currently considered alternatives to improve cost-benefit for the different life-science applications.

What we are looking for:

– Master’s degree passionate to combine mechanics, electronics, software, and microfluidics to contribute to the life sciences and healthcare arenas.

– Software

  • Knowledge on managing and developing software-to-hardware interfacing drivers.
  • Knowledge in Python and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge in Linux operating systems.
  • Passion in building appealing user interfaces.

– Electronics

  • Knowledge on assembling and testing electronic components.
  • Knowledge programming and using Raspberry devices.

– Mechanics

  • Knowledge in Solidworks or other CAD software.
  • Interest or knowledge into learning and using fluidic managing components.

– Good English level is mandatory.
